    In Reflection (sonnet # 3 )

Stranded alone, detached, as most men stand
Isolated, though immersed in a crowd
An island enclosed by infinite land,
    One solitary breathe exhaling aloud.
Seldom does chance allow fate to rehearse
Ever searching, forlorn, for an answer
The mirror reflects the image reversed
    An expression, expressing its anger.
The face that appears, appears undefined
For a stranger stares back, in reflection
Experience gained through life's daily grind
Guides us home, in a different direction.
Stand level, stand straight, repel all assaults
For mans inner worth, draws strenght from his faults

Very deep! That poem took me mentally to a place, on that island.. Great writing

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
