    The Morning and Evening Star

    As I gaze now upon
    Her sculptured face
    Such flawless beauty
    Etched like flesh on bone
    Her faultless features
    Fused with polished grace
    Perfection honed
    Then carved in stone
    From Aphrodite
    Such inspiration
    In la Louvre
    La grand objet d'art
    Perchance to wonder
    On her creation
    Fair Venus, the morning
    And evening star

    Good write..................................I enjoyed it.....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
