Its an assasin's tale
There upon the horizon
As the red haze fills my eyes
Slowly being drawn into another fight
The images are blurred
Shapes merge and separate in the fading light
Soon there will be no more room for thought
Only the images of blood
Spilling here and on the dead at my feet
My life is draining with every stroke of the sword
With the pace of the battle gaining with every bite of the blade
As my limbs grow weaker with every strike
More fall at my hand
And the tip of the blade grows heavier with blood
I slowly start to drop between passing glances of attacks
Soon I will join those that fell
But I can only see the blurred images of black and red clouding my vision
Now only one
I won't be alive much longer
I stumble to him over the field of corpses
Just as I reach him
A piercing howl fills the air
Still paralyzed by the wolf I raise my sword
There as the glint of metal catches his eye he turns his head
One sharp flick of the wrist
His body and blood join those at my feet
As the haze leaves my eyes so does the strength of my body
The sound of explosions and sirens fill the night
As I fall into that false state of rest I know I am safe.......for now at least.
