    Past and the Future

    A light
barely seen throught the haze of memories
    A soul
never saved in a world of lies
    A tear
shed with remorse and guilt of the dead
    A memory
that with it brings the world to its knees
    A life
    that is no longer real
    A portrait
    painted of the past

    The past
is something that can never be forgotten
    The dreams
are something you can't escape from
    The night
is a refuge for those who fight all day
    The world
    is gone to us all
    The pain
    is real and neverending

This time there is no choice, no turning back, no way out
We are to face what comes and not run from our future
There is nothing to decide, nothing to hide
As we fight let the truth be known to all
There is no future but your own and only you create your future.

    nice/ continued blessings/ the poet

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
