Poem Commentary

Hmm. 17 years later, things still aren't always as they appear. The masks are merely...better worn I suppose. At least there are some for whom I don't need them. I am blessed as well as cursed. Yet some are w/o the Father still..... Enjoy <3

Masks

Although the sky is
darkened by clouds
I know eventually the
sun will come out.

Upon my head the rain
may pour down,
Yet whence it departs
A rainbow is found.

Some may think my down
moods reign,
But these don’t truly
Know the real me.

Things aren’t always
as they appear.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
