    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this piece after a somewhat stormy Mother's Day visit with some of my family, a visit that showed me that we are all looking at life from different hilltops so we all see things a bit differently... Mlea

    Mother's Day

    The morning is a quiet morning.
    All are still asleep.
    A soft purr from the living room
    A last remnant of yesterday,
     Mother's Day.

    A reunion of sorts...
    My sister, her husband , her daughter.
    Travelers whose paths crossed at my doorstep.
    Whose lives intersect with mine.
    A comedy of errors waiting to happen.

    Perspective.
    The only conclusion.
    The lesson I take from this.
    We were raised together;
    Same home,
    Same Mom,
    Same rules.
    Three  completely different scrapbooks.
    The photos the same,
    The captions, miles apart.
