    • Very excited and very grateful. My son Michael will be coming back to American soil in about 12 days I want to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes and strength.

    Road Trip

    Wanderlust done,
    Time to return,
    Welcomed home into familiar arms
    And loving embraces.
The kettle is on the fire,
    The wood;
    Enough for the evening.
    The time better spent
    Reminiscing places seen
    And people met.
    The journey,
    At times, long.
    The experience,
    Unforgettable!
    The Pilgrim returns,
    Stories to share,
    Landscapes to paint.
    Grateful,
    Come morning,
To once again wake in her own bed.

Can't wait to go, can't wait to return - need the rest so we take a well deserved vacation, then return home... needing a rest! I like the way your thoughts are smooth - few but tell feelings complete. I like this a lot - Write ON, Live Strong!

This is the feeling I have every time I leave for vacation. I love being where ever we go and enjoy the time we spend there. But, I can't wait to get back to my little piece of the planet. Nice job, TS

Once again I am so very flattered that you would take the time to read my poem. Thank you. I too love to be in my own element, I guess that's why I venture forth now and then, it reminds me why I hold it so dear.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
