'NEVER GOODBYE'

Poem Commentary

Dedicated to a flower named Flora (my Mom).

'NEVER GOODBYE'

Sitting here My Love; my fingers softly stroking my lips
Remembering the feel of your soft tender kiss
The times you touched my blushing cheeks; my hair
Never thinking one day you would not be there

Looking back on the different Lives we shared
The joys - the hopes - the tribulations we dared
I ask myself why you were taken from me
So stable; so strong, full of life yet to see

Did I take you for granted?
All the wisdom you enchanted
Or was I possibly instilled
With your wonderful Will?

And now a Higher Power has taken you in
To a place where there's no sorrow, no wondering nor sin
You live now in a mystic place; where the Sun always shines
No cloudy day's ever; just pure peace of mind

Though not physically with me
You will always remain
In a place in my heart
Through all joy and all pain

I'll join you one day in that Land without Risk
We'll walk in the sand, in the gardens through mist
Holding hands...As you give to me a long awaited kiss
And in our Bliss????
We'll just 'ENJOY and REMINISCE'

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
