"MARY'S STRUGGLE"
Mary had a little Lamb, one day to her dismay
She walked into a church and there began to pray
She prayed to God her life distorted, would not become array
She sat upon a bench in court and there began to pray
Mary had a little Lamb in childhood she would play
With wool so light, so soft with hope, her Lamb would make her day
She took the Lamb to school with her
And on evenings filled with gray
She hugged her Lamb with love and hope
And all anxiety went astray
Then one day the Teacher stated
The Lamb could not be schooled
To bring the Lamb to school each day
Was totally against the rule
The Lamb disbarred, Mary scarred, she slowy slipped away
Into a life of crime she awoke
To find herself one day
And then one day before the court she stood
The justice would not sway
The Judge asked
"Mary, why do you continue to act in crimes this way?"
Mary's answer before the court
"Because they took my Lamb away"
My joy, my hope, my being
Everything in life worth seeing
My God, my world, My God, My God
What have these people taken from me?"
Can they not forsee?
Mary had a little Lamb whose fleece was white, brown, black, Actually what ever she envisioned on a particular day
But un-knowing to her as she sat in chruch praying
The Lamb never left her side
The Lamb had never been taken away
For you cannot remove a Lamb like a limb
A Lamb which God has planted within
Mary had a Little Lamb
She sat in church one day
She sat in chuch and began to pray
That humanity in her heart had not gone astray
