TOMORROW ANOTHER DAY

TOMORROW ANOTHER DAY

AND THEN WE WONDER
AS WE PONDER
AS WE ANTICIPATE
AS WE WAIT

WE SIT WITH FRIENDS
WE SIT ALONE
WE WANT TO SPEAK
BESIDE AN UNRINGING PHONE

WE'RE AWAKE AT DAWN
WITH NO WHERE TO GO
WE STRUGGLE TO RE-DREAM
THE MESSAGES DREMPT BEFORE

AND NOW THAT WE'RE AWAKE
A NEW DAY BEGINS
A NEW DAY TO FIGURE OUT
HOW AND WHEN THIS LIFE WILL WIN............

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
