  • After a couple years gone, I think it's about time I made a return. Time to upload some poetry.

On Life

Death, thy beauty is praised by none,
Thou art thought to be ugly;
But, it is not so:
Because you, O Death,
Have set me free.

When Life turns her bright face
From mortal eyes, this is Death.
But it is only so Life might
Take one by the hand and
Lead to a brighter place.

You, Death, only extend thy
Hand so it might be taken.
But, should one turn their face
From you, and Judgment, it may
Be grasped by a hand most foul,
A hand, which does not love.

The one who truly fears thee not
Knows well what life they’ve led,
And, in their goodly ways, pass jury’s duty
On their own conduct before the great Judge.
The one who fears thee truly
Knows well what misdemeanors they
Entertained in life.
They too, shall pass on themselves judgment
And to a less pleasant abode than yours be sent.
You lead us to the truest
Life, that life which is the Light of men,
The greatest glow of beauty’s Truth,
That Light, and Life, is True Love Eternal.

YES FOR ME TO BE DEAD IS TO BE WITH THE LORD. SO DEATH WILL BE A WELCOMED FRIEND THAT LEADS US TO THAT TRUEST LIFE IN HEAVEN. A NEW CONCEPT OF DEATH INDEED. GOD BLESS, MARILYN

Well put J as a christian death is but stepping on the elevator to go to the top floor. But to the unbeliever the ride down without the cable will be something to fear.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
