    Pale stars

I see stars, hanging in a pale blue sky,
sunshine, beating it's way, beyond my eye.
Had my heart ripped out, when silence spoke,
it was stomped, twisted, and yet it never broke.

Sure my spirit did, snapped right in two,
now I watch the stars, in a sky of faint blue.
Dangerous are the thoughts, as they speed in my mind,
even more so, when the reason, they find.

We made excuses, and tired reasons,
now we're left, alone in our seasons.
I gave so much, just to watch it fail,
then to see her, get up and turn tail.

I tried, but maybe it wasn't enough,
for when I gave my heart, it was crushed.
Now I see darkness where my soul did lie,
watching the stars, dance in the pale blue sky.

Heart break can be a difficult emotion to express through words. You did a nice job of it here though. If I may, be careful of using comma's, too many of them can take away from the feeling you are trying to express.

indeed you may. after re-readin I have found my weariness got the better of me -smirks- . Your comment and critic is much appreciated.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
