    Paused

     

    Longing to remain

    not stagnant,

    but paused in the journey.

     

    That in one moment,

    an eternity between two breaths,

    you touched my soul with your eyes,

    and with every breath there-after

    I will long for its memory.

    This is the stuff movies are made about. You can almost see it. My mind begins to imagine plots. is he a soldier a spy? Who is the lady of mystery , or vice-versa? Will they ever meet again. Intriquing and compe;;ing in such a few short lines.

    Sometimes a few words is all it takes. I'm glad you enjoyed this one.
