    Wait for Me there

    Wait For Me there

     

    Remember my promise;

    spoken through tears and poems

    drifting endlessly on the dances of dreams.

    I will wait

    where the rise of a starry sky

    touches the falling cords of a song,

    or the echo of your smile

    plays on a spring breeze;

    where our hearts once touched the wind

    with its soothing breath.

    Find my love

    where stars gather in a silver net,

    beneath the shaded caress of angel wings,

    or where sunset faces slowly on crystal water

    fallen from the eyes of our last dream.

    Wait for me there.

    This was so sweet and beautiful, the metaphors and similes were remarkable. Each image you created just added to the wistful tone of this poem. You can almost see the long awaited reunion.
