    Picture Love

    Looking lovingly into your eyes
Tracing the contours of your lips
Brushing ever so gently your face
    Regrettable your picture with fingertips

Wanting nothing more than to see you
Hoping nothing less than a touch
    Wishing constantly for your embrace
Needing to hold you ever so much

    Envisioning the day we meet
    Your heart encompassed by mine
    Me loving you unconditionally
    Our love will together entwine

    Gazing longingly at your picture
Praying ever more to have you near
To caress all your cares away
To whisper "I love you" in your ear

To kiss the nape of your neck
To make love to you totally
To feel, to touch, to love you
    I need you so terribly

    Your picture brings some comfort
    And sadly also some pain
My heart is craving for you
And with you my love will remain

A picture is worth a thousand words
Yet there are three it can't replace
"I love you" will only carry weight
    Whispered enclosed in your embrace

    Your face is forever captured
In my mind and in my heart
I love you my precious darling
Misery is mine when we're apart

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
