So much said in so few words. This is the ultimate of making every words count and what poetry is all about. Sally

The nursery rhyme poem. Interesting to see written for adults. It is far more didactic than metaphorical in nature. It has the shape of a smile if it's put on its side. It could become a concrete poem if it were to be put on the page in that manner. Which would give it a tad more metaphorical intent. That would fall under the Charles Olson category of poetry. A concrete poem, that would be interesting, will have to give it a try.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know your thoughts!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
