Someday soon 8-11-06
Someday soon I will no longer grind my teethagainst the pain of a lonely spirit
It will no longer be the weight
but the size of my heart that matters
for you will have lifted away the heaviness within
Someday soon I will feel the presence of the angels
each time that you draw near
I will float above the cares of the world
as I swim through the ocean of your love
Someday soon the songs of birds will take on new meaning
because they will sing in celebration of our love
and the mere scent of wildflowers will cause me to swoon
for it will remind me of the natural beauty which you possess
Someday soon we will look into each others eyes
and know just what the other feels and thinks
our lives will become so intertwined
as to be unable to separate one from the other
Someday soon we will sleep warm and safe
in each others loving embrace
and the sun will shine on me
each time that you smile
Someday soon you will wear my ring
as I take your hand
on the first day of our new lives together.
