    Stillness

     The light goes out
     once more your alone
    stillness that fills the air
     lonliness that stalks the home
    tears from a child left alone and unknown

    Death that fills the cup of life
     yet not take mine till I have a wife
    The stars that show there is still light
     and none are alone in the stillness of night

    Had to chuckle at this "yet not take mine till I have a wife" as hope that not true as I would live forever.. and some of my male relatives would be here today.. and very very old.. then looking out at relatives those that did marry are gone or near gone... wives holding strong... them slipping slowly but slipping...
