    Poem Commentary

You just have to understand that you are special,so nobody is better than you.You don't have to cry for them to laugh at you,ok? Ity's enough!

    Tears

    Standing at the corners
    They point at me
    As they laugh
    Making me a "play thing"
And when I think of this
    It makes me cry
    I remember all they said
    And I  become bitter
It makes me think of death
    I regret my life
    Struggling not for breath
    Then the darkest thought comes
    "end everything now"
    Making me feel the
    Shadows'depth
    I don't deserve these
    I ask myself
    What do one derive from
    causing pains for others?
    What does it feel like
    To make others cry?

Oh the cruelty of others and their insensitivity. In my experience it doesn't make me feel good to make others cry. It also doesn't make me feel good when people are insensitive whether to others or to me. Kindness is the answer and forgiveness of the cruelty of others. Nice Job.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
