tender thoughts

I'm nourished by the magic
of tender thoughts
dancing across the page
emotions spring to life
touching me deeply
stirring my heart
warmly glowing embers
that steal the chill
out of cold nights
a word so placed
that softens the hard edges
of a lonely life
my eyes are sprinkled
with the magic dust
thrown from a fairy's hands
visions appear before me
as the clouds clear from my sky
drops of heaven
rain down on sunbeams
giving all it touches
a warm and vital glow

Tender thoughts do indeed "soften the hard edges" I enjoyed this piece very much. Good writing!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
