    That Special Day...

As I stand here before you
    I cannot believe it's true
The one I searched for all my life
    Is now becoming my wife
We have gone down many difficult paths
    Have endured many different wraths
But yet our love always stayed strong
And we proved every single person wrong
Of course, there were times of fighting
At some points, it resulted in biting
But what couple doesn't go through that
It's the makeup time, which is the important stat
From the moment I laid eyes upon you
The only person I ever wanted in my life was you
When I was cold, you would hold me tight
When I messed up, you made things right
No matter what I was going through
    You always remained my boo
When I was scared, you erased my fears
When I was sad, you wiped my tears
You've done so much for me, that is true
The only thing I could ever say is I Love You!
Today I stand here not as a boy, but a man
Who will fight for you the best that he can
No matter what you will ever need
I will be there to help you succeed
God does everything in life for a specific reason
In the bible it states, everything has a season
The time for our season is upon us
And I do not want to miss that bus
So as we stand here holding hands
Know from this day on, where I stand
My heart belongs to only two
They are to the Almighty God and you

Absolutely beautiful! The flow and rhythm are excellent which makes for good reading. It is so nice to read poetry like this from a man about the woman he loves. You also let it be known that Christ is first in your life. How powerful!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
