The Blind Side of Home

The Blind Side of Home

Go there
what do you see?
Hang up my hat
It is empty to me.
I look around
Soft bed
Large pillows
Sofa, chair,
Vines and plants
Growing I see
but
Things are not home
Home is not
Heaven to me.

Fresh baking bread
in the oven,
it’s warm,
some say  yummy,
smells just like home.
Food is not warmth,
A bed, table or chairs
aren’t home for me
Friends are not here?
Well maybe I’m wrong?
But this is not
Home to me.

How great life is with
Touch and embrace
Oh cuddle me.
With warm embraces
‘cause loneness
is not
Home to me.

So comforting is
Touch to me,
Caress me
Then I’ll purr
Like a cat with nipped tea
That’d comfort
and
Heaven to me.

Who am I now?
Who are you?
That you take from me.
What if they took from you?
Where can I go?
What shall I do?
If filled with hunger
Would you do?
Home is not
Heaven to me.

Excite me.
I need that
Can’t you see?
Home is not emptiness
nor
Heaven to me.

Foods are not warmth
bed, table or chair
just starring at me
not friendly you see.
Give me
Words of love
That’s
Comfort to me

Show me how great life is
with
Touch and embrace
while cuddling me.
Let me see
Home can be
Heaven to me.

Comforting is touch me,
Caress me, I’ll purr
Like a cat with nipped tea
That’d comfort to me.
Home is not
Heaven to me.

Things like pride
Are poisonous.
Lies and secrets
Let them be.
Home is not
Heaven to me.

True emptiness that’s
A weird mixed up world
People cheating
Stealing
Grabbing
Taking things from me.
Home is not
Heaven to me.

Who am I now?
Who are you?
That you take from me.
What if taken from you.
Where can I go?
What shall I do?
Filled with hunger
What would you do?
Home is not
Heaven to me.

Warm fuzzies like
Kind words
are heaven to me.
I need that
gee whiz how
Exciting to me.
I need that
Can’t you see?
Home is not
Heaven to me.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
