The Game
He thinks its all a joke,
And so I don't get hurt,
I'll play along.
But after so long,
The game will end.
Will he know it was
Never a joke to me?
That everytime he smiles
I can hardly breathe?
Or will it always be a joke
In his eyes?
And I'll have go on
With telling the lies.
You're the only one
That doesn't see.
How can you be so dense?
Its like theres a fense
Keeping you from seeing
The truth to my words.
So the game goes on
And somehow,
I'll keep playing on.
And so I don't get hurt,
I'll play along.
But after so long,
The game will end.
Will he know it was
Never a joke to me?
That everytime he smiles
I can hardly breathe?
Or will it always be a joke
In his eyes?
And I'll have go on
With telling the lies.
You're the only one
That doesn't see.
How can you be so dense?
Its like theres a fense
Keeping you from seeing
The truth to my words.
So the game goes on
And somehow,
I'll keep playing on.
