    The Light

Darkness came so fierce and fast,
I'm only guided by the light of past,

Although it's vivid within my mind,
I hope and prayed for that light to shine,

My eyes were open, I had no sight,
    Constant days were endless nights,

Shadows blocked and prevented my way,
Predators stalked, am I next prey?

What is fake, when is real?
I reached and grabbed, yet could not feel,

Reality set, I closed my eyes,
As a vision approached I prepared to die,

I opened my eyes to face my fears,
When I saw your face and the light appeared.
