THE LOVE OF A FRIEND
The love you've shown me, I cant question or deny.
If I told you I didn’t love you,In my soul, that would be a lie.
When you are around, I feel no pain, no worries, no fears
And I'm not crying, they are just tears from the joy and happiness you've given for years.
God has brought you in my life for a reason
No matter what time of the year, your love rejoices every season.
Even when I didn’t deserve your tender care, you stayed by my side
When others speak your name, I say to them "That's my friend!" and I announce it with pride.
Through days, weeks, months and years
Our closeness I hope sustains
