    The Prodigal Daughter

    To Whom It May Concern,

In these pages you will find a true account of the testimonial of a Prodigal Daughter who once laid upon her bed contemplating her own suicide. I write these words from my prayer closet, with tear stained eyes, as I pray for all God's children who are hurt to the devestation of their own lives. I pray that God's beautiful creations in this world who are crying out to God in their despair and their grief will find comfort in the pages written of this blessing received of God Himself . It is my prayer that all who hear this testimony will be blessed and touched by God and by faith I claim this blessing for them who will hear in Jesus precious name. Please share this with others that they may also be blessed. I send this to you with all the love of Jesus Christ that is within me.

    A Prodigal Daughter

As I sit on the stoop of my door and I ponder upon th many paths of my life..... I wonder which path that I have chosen that has brought me to this place. As I gaze out into the world, there is an ohhh, so vague memory of once having seen the beauty in God's creations. But now before me I saw the trees and there was no green in its leaves and the birds of the heavens no longer perched in her branches to sing their praises to God.
The skies have lost their brilliant blues and the brightness of the sun has faded into darkness. There is no longer any splendor in the grass of the fields. The flowers have lost their sweet fragrance and do not dance with the breeze that no longer sings her soft lullabies.
The rivers have all dried up and the mountains no longer stand majestically under the cover of the clouds. The sea has lost her strength and the mighty roar of her crashing waves has been silenced.
The world has become like that of a stone.... Which is hard and cold and gray. The shades of gray have blinded my eyes. My heart is shriveled and dried and ready for the shadowy grave. My spirit is broken and my soul has reached its arms to deaths door and I look to the grave for the peace and rest that I so very sorely need. As I was about to enter into my resting place, there was a sudden loud thunder that came from the heavens above and the thunder spoke, saying..............

    Oh you afflicted one,
    Tossed with tempest,
    And not comforted,
Behold I will lay you stones with colorful gems,
And lay your foundations with sapphires,
I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
    Your gates of crystal,
And your walls of precious stones.
All your children shall be taught of the Lord,
And great shall be the peace of your children,
In righteousness you shall be established,
And shall be far from oppression
    For you shall not fear,
    And from terror,
For it shall not come near you.

And I cried out to the voice of thunder, Oh My God, My Lord, and my savior, JESUS HELP ME! And again there was a sudden loud thunder from the heavens saying to me.....
Do not be dismayed and do not reach out to deaths door for I have shut that door to you.
I have called you by your name, which I have written in the "Lamb's Book of Life." I am with you always and I am He that restoreth.... The repairer of broken and shattered hearts. I am He that loves and comforts you. Their is nothing that is impossible to me, if you will but lean on me and put all your trust in me.
And I looked again and I saw the trees and they were alive with the color of green leaves and the birds of the heavens were perched in her branches, singing their praises to God and I began to sing with them.
The brightness has returned to the sun which lay in the brilliant blues of the skies and I gave thanks to my God. The splendor of the grass has returned in all her grace.
Once again the flowers vented their sweet fragrance as they began to dance with the breeze as she began to sing her soft lullabies and I danced and I sang wth them.
The rivers began to flow and the mountins once more stood in all their majestic glory under the covering of the clouds and I bowed down before my God, and I worshipped Him. The sea regained her strength and the mighty roar of the crashing waves was sounded once more and I stood in reverence before my God.
And henceforth from this very day, as I look out to the beauty of God's creations I shall proclaim the endless mercies and infinite love of my father who thunders with a loud voice from the heavens above.

With all the Love of Christ that is in me,
    The Prodigal Daughter,

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
