The things that I love

The things that I love

The sound of thunder

Echoing in the distance.

The flash of lighting

As the bolts streak through the sky.

The feeling of rain on my face

In the warm summer days.

The warmth of someone lying beside me.

The laughter and joy

Of my friends and I enjoying life.

The wildness of my imagination

And the places it takes me.

The peace offered to me

By music of any kind.

The late night hours

When I’m too awake to fall asleep.

The hours spent with my family

Whom I hardly see.

Remembering things long since past

While watching the clouds sail by.

Good, rythmic recollection; takes one to a beautiful time and place.

This is really pretty and says a lot about your world...I like it a lot.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
