    Through My Eyes

    If you could look
    Through my eyes
    You would see the hurt
    The loss, the sorrow
    You would feel proud
    Scared and angry.

If you could see the world
    Through my eyes
    You would see the love
    The beauty, the brightness.
You would see the colors of the rainbow,
Played out on everything you touch.
Then watch it crumble before your eyes,
    Because nothing lasts forever,
    Through my eyes.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
