Time Stood Still

Time Stood Still

Just like that time stood still

Amethyst petals, gracefully dancing

Golden strands reaching for their turn

Your laughter a sweet concerto to my ears

Innocence twirling through the petals

Entranced

Vivid shades of crimson in your dress

Hope glimmering in your eyes

I dare time to begin once more.

Lovely portrayal of a moment so beautiful it should be frozen in time. Good write!

thank you lisaner :)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
