    Treasure Behind the Door

    How did I get here
    And become who I am
    when did my wall disappear
and let me be the man I am

    Losses after time
    Tally up in my mind
    Always remembering
    The worst parts of time

    A head on collision
    A train named Fate
    The feeling, to let go
    Creeps up like deaths date

    What have you got
    What will you do
    What will you save
What are you worth, and to who

    But beyond my control
Strength convinces me to hold on
    Distracts me of the pain
Cauterized my wound to stay strong

    Sometimes we prevail
    Even for just a while
Most of the time we fail
When we search the Holy Grail

    Great Treasures! There out there
Like a pirate after he’s gold
    My heart always led me
    My path is always told

    Behind closed doors we look
Scared but secretly hoping to find
The love of a life time
    But we walk through blind

What have you got: I got you
What will you do: never let you go
What will you save: you as u saved me
What are you worth: You’re my treasure behind the door.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
