TURNING LEAVES.

Autum is when leaves turn into a magnificent array of glorious colors.
During this time, leaves gradually turn from green to yellow-green, to yellow, to light brown, to crispy brown; and then fall off.
Leaves play a significant part in the life of a plant or tree.

Young green leaves are the essence of the tree.
They vibrantly help to provide for the try or plant.
Through them, plant food is made in the presence of sunlight.
It is the green pigment in the leaves called chlorophyll, that is used in the processing of plant food.

Nutrients from the soil, such as magnesium, manganese, tin and even sulfur and zinc, are drawn up by the roots.
These are then filtered up through the trunks to the branches, and then to the leaves. The leaves then combine the nutrients in the presence of sunlight, and manufacture plant food.

The yellow-green do the same while the young leaves blossom and unfold
under them while still on the same stalk.
The yellow-green leaves of a plant or tree partially provide the plants and trees with food. Their main productive days are slowly diminishing but they still give help to the young shoots that are budding and unfolding.

The yellow leaves give shade as well as support to the tree or plant. They prevent the harsh sun from scorching the young shoots. The yellow leaves soon turn brown and fall off. They too protect by covering the soil below to help keep the moisture in.

Light brown leaves give support to both the green and yellowgreen leaves.
They remain on the tree a little longer by giving shade to the roots below.
The finally become dry brown and crispy, and are blown off by the wind.

In the autumn or fall season, these various colors appear on trees and plants.
They look dazzlingly pretty in the handsome sunlight;
They are just picturesque!

Leaves remind us of ourselves, from childhood (green leaves) to older adulthood (brown leaves). I one season they teel the whole lifespan of humanity. Thanks for commenting.

No matter what age we are at, we all play a part in God's dynamic universe. Our parts and roles change over time, as we change our philosophies and undertake more serious roles in society.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
