    Verbal Poems.....

     HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A POEM, A POEM IS A VERB DID YOU NOT KNOW. IT MUST MOVE YOU IN SOME FORM OF ACTION TO FEEL, TO LAUGH, TO CRY, OR JUST TO THINK. 
     
    YOU MOVE NOTHING IN ME, NOT MY HEART THAT BLEEDS FOR MANKIND, NOR MY TEARS THAT FLOWS FROM MY EYES WHEN I SIGH. WHEN I LAUGH GOD KNOWS IT'S NOT REAL BECAUSE YOU NEVER LEARNED HOW TO MAKE ME FEEL. 
     
    I WOULD CRY FOR YOU WHEN YOU DIE IF AT ONCE YOU WERE ACTUALLY ALIVE. COME ON INSPIRE ME, DO SOMETHING MOVE ME WITH YOUR JOYS OF LAUGHTER AND YOUR TEARS OF PAIN, TELL ME ABOUT THE SOULS YOU SAVED AND WHY YOUR NOT THE SAME. 
     
    HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A POEM, A POEM IS A VERB IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW I'M NOT AFRAID TO TELL YOU SO, A POEM IS A VERB AND NOW YOU KNOW.

    You do not lack for spunk that is for sure. You call out your message loudly in clear terms that leaves little doubt where you stand. Poems are what we make them. If they do not inspire or leave an impression then they are merely words thrown like dust into the wind.

    I love the way you challenge the poem to be more than just words on paper, rather than challenge the poet to do more than just put words on paper. I will never look at my poems the same way again!

    Thanks I am please that u like it. This poem came from another poet who wrote about poems that move him. So thats when I thought of verbal poems. Thanks again ur friend in poetry,Infiniti

    Amazing! Very insightful and profound. I also believe that writing is only worth reading if it evokes some kind of emotional response. But I never thought to write about it! ;) Good work, keep it up!
