    warm now

    lost torment
    tears cried openly,
time-closed, a shaded red gaze smile of hope,
    cradled close
    nuzzled softly,
    forcing happiness before tired past.

This works, but "lost" instead of "Past" throws it off a mite. But still in all...nice.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
