Who needs a heart?

Who needs a heart?

Your a thorn in my heart
causing me pain every day
there is nothing I can do
nowhere to run
nowhere to hide
I cant ever seem to shake you
no matter how many bottles I drink
no matter how many girls I'm with
my thought always come back to you
your smile, so sweet, so innocent, so loving
your laugh, so joy full, so careless, so pure
those memories alone make me love you more
but how can I love someone who doesn't care?
you didnt say goodbye, you didnt leave a note
you walked out of my life as quick as you walked in
and because of you all I have left
is a thorn buried in a pile of sand.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
