A Heart
A heart discarded by God
Thrown away in the same fashion
That one throws a coin into a wishing pond
Cutting my feet
On the jagged, rusty pieces
Of heartache
Once again
A heart severed from memories
Of past happiness,
From thoughts of us
Thoughts so bitterly sweet
A heart trying to beat
Here and there
Struggling to exist
In this age of severed survival
A heart hobbled
And loosing feeling
And all at the hand of
you and
The Sledge Hammer of Sorrows
And now I’m just
A heart
Trying to beat
But I’m
“Lost in time, lost in space …
And MEANING”-
