A Love Like Yours
I’ve never been the girl
Who writes about
Puppies and flower on a spring day
I’ve been the type
To doubt the fairy tale love would ever
Find someone like me
The first to point out that
Love hurts, that love is impure
And imperfect
But then you came along
While I still have my doubts
Your smile reminds me of all that is right
In this world
It seems that with
A love like yours
I can finally be that girl
That preaches of the joys of love
Instead of the pain
