A Summer Dream
I had a sweet summer dream,
In a paradise where blue birds fly.
For in your kiss I lost myself,
As the world passed us by.
Such a sweet surrender,
My soul wrapped in such bliss.
Your heart in tune with mine,
Finding rapture in a kiss.
Expressing love in our eyes,
That mere lips could not speak.
The flame in our hearts,
A glow in our cheeks.
In that wonderful moment,
Time would stand still.
We lost ourselves in each other,
To never lose our will.
I'd never tasted such delight,
Never knew such endless charm.
As I found in the shelter,
Of your loving arms.
We gave to each other,
All that we had possessed.
Certain that in our love,
We would be forever blessed.
I would vow that even,
As the summer bows.
Her weary head,
For the winter bestows.
Time will never tarnish,
Sweet dreams we have made.
For the light of our love,
Will never begin to fade.
What we have is meant to last,
Even when the last leaf has fallen,
As a summer's dream drifts past.
In a paradise where blue birds fly.
For in your kiss I lost myself,
As the world passed us by.
Such a sweet surrender,
My soul wrapped in such bliss.
Your heart in tune with mine,
Finding rapture in a kiss.
Expressing love in our eyes,
That mere lips could not speak.
The flame in our hearts,
A glow in our cheeks.
In that wonderful moment,
Time would stand still.
We lost ourselves in each other,
To never lose our will.
I'd never tasted such delight,
Never knew such endless charm.
As I found in the shelter,
Of your loving arms.
We gave to each other,
All that we had possessed.
Certain that in our love,
We would be forever blessed.
I would vow that even,
As the summer bows.
Her weary head,
For the winter bestows.
Time will never tarnish,
Sweet dreams we have made.
For the light of our love,
Will never begin to fade.
What we have is meant to last,
Even when the last leaf has fallen,
As a summer's dream drifts past.
