Just If
If the winds were never again to blow,
If there never could be another spring.
If the rivers should cease to flow,
If a robin was unable to sing.
Just if ?
If the flowers could no longer bloom,
If the world stopped spinning around.
If there would be no more sun or moon,
If the thunder hadn't any sound.
Just if ?
If the ocean's were suddenly dry,
If love was always lost.
If an eagle could no longer fly,
If we were left to suffer the cost.
If ?
What a small word for such a big meaning !
If there never could be another spring.
If the rivers should cease to flow,
If a robin was unable to sing.
Just if ?
If the flowers could no longer bloom,
If the world stopped spinning around.
If there would be no more sun or moon,
If the thunder hadn't any sound.
Just if ?
If the ocean's were suddenly dry,
If love was always lost.
If an eagle could no longer fly,
If we were left to suffer the cost.
If ?
What a small word for such a big meaning !
