Not Knowing
It started as an affair,
Then I came to be.
You and I were not aware,
Did not know about you or you me.
Mom said I was not suppose to know,
But ended up finding out.
It happened a long time ago,
A burden to her,no need to talk about.
Something inside of me died that day,
Never knew so many tears could fall.
Was told,to be hurt in a bad way,
That is when I put up my wall.
Not knowing where I came from,
Wondering if I look like you.
Makes my heart feel numb,
You not seeing me as I grew.
Dad,I do not know who or where you are,
Why my eye's are so beautiful and blue.
It would be my only wish upon a star,
To be able to seek and find you.
