    Acceptance

A miracle of sobriety finding us in uniqueness so strong,
Such a dilemma being with other people when the one of
    our dreams comes along.
A friendship growing in spite of struggle, taking us to
    passionate places unknown,
Yet strangely familiar as in wisps of dreams where we felt
    completely understood and never alone.
Such camaraderie, empathy and an understanding needed
for recovery we share, so impacting are we as our eyes
beholding, oozing, proclaiming how very much we care.
But for now the dilemma remains because to our choices we
    remain true,
I will learn to sacrifice forbidden desires and dreams for
    the betterment of you.
The gift of US through sobriety, we are precious and rare,
    such a treasure,
With the utmost respect and love I will give without measure.
And so to love....resolved as best we sequester,
we choose to live abstained, as friends, one to the other.
