The blossoming of me

The blossoming of me

Frustration, helplessness, confusion, emotions out of control, I lie
entombed in this thick, dark, damp, mud.  Hopelessness reigning, uselessness prevailing as I struggle to survive in this quagmire of my
own making.  My pitiful weak frame senses a tremble in the depths.
I stretch, I claw, I grasp, what is this bit of light gleaming through the
dense darkness of my existence?  As I strain to lift my head, I feel a surge pushing me upward, slowly, methodically, gently........................
Suddenly my face bursts through the thick crust of decay, bondage,
regret, failure and sorrow.  My frame tenaciously follows and Ohhhhhhh
I am engulfed in the most luminous, brilliant light, bathing me,
drenching me, nourishing me.  As this light permeates my every fiber
of being, I erupt, I ooze, I revel in gratitude, love, hope and Ahhhhhhh
yes, such embellishment of peace.........acceptance............calm..........
and there before my opalescent eyes is the most amazing
metamorphosis, glimmering, dazzling, unfolding the incredible
fragrant, awe-struck beauty of the blossoming of me.......................!!!!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
