    Acrimony

    Acrimony infiltrates my system,

As if no other affection abides.

It impregnates whats left of me.

    It permeates my bones,

The very actuality of my being.

It is as malignant as a horrific disease,

That consumes whats left of my pure self.

Causing affliction of heartache on innocent witnesses.

It must be contained for the spirit will surely cease to

    remain if left to accumulate.

A good personification of the word defining it in terms of an anguishing self-spirit... I sense a bitter dishevel of the voice's consciousness though, it appears to slip in and out of reality, eg - as if no other affection resides - the voice really doesn't believe this spiritual drain is, or will be, the only player in this scene of the soul... but, i do sense an inner resolve at the ending, ie, a conclusion... change is in order, else things could get worse; much worse.... a very good write...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
