    I guess my answer is clear today
    You must truly want to walk away.

    Our situation you can no longer bare
    But somehow my feelings you want to spare.

    You will not tell me we can be no more
    Or that you just can't love me anymore.

    To hurt me is something you do not wish
    I wish you'd say good-bye with one last kiss.

    To avoid and push me away
    Hurts more than if you would just say
    That you cannot love me anymore.

    very true... that is, breaking up is hard to do and old habits die hard too! Nice short poem, to the point... write on!

    The brutal thought of a missed loved one telling you that they don't love you anymore is interesting to hear. I wanted to know, how you would have felt if she would have told you this. I liked the rhyme in the poem as well just wish it would not have ended so quickly. Good Write

    If he were to tell me he no longer loved me it would be devastating, but atleast I would not be assuming and have closure. As it stands now I am assuming how he feels and suffer daily not knowing, except when we are together, then there is no happiness anywhere that compares to mine when I am with him.

    Great poem!!! Great portrayal of someone that still loves and cares enough not to want to hurt, but doesn't love enough to want to continue struggling in the mire of a failing relationship. Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

    wow... as one who has been one who has "avoided and pushed away" someone who I could not be with in a relationship anymore, it really puts her perspective in perspective. thank you for posting.

    Thank you for the comment. Even though writing it doesn't ease my pain I am glad it may help someone else understand.
