Overdue
Another day with no text or callI know it was foolish of me to fall
To fall for someone who doesn't care
One that doesn't have time to spare
Time to send one small text to say Hi
So I look up to the sky and ask why.
Why do I hold on to hope
I know without you I could cope
Why do I still wait to hear from you
Knowing when I don't it will only make me blue
Why do I try to believe you want me,
When so many times you've tried to make me see
Tried to make me see I'll never be more than a friend,
Yet these feelings just won't end.
One day I'll have the strength not to stay,
Not because I will leave you but because you pushed me away.
When that day comes you will miss the way I loved you
But it will be a little too late and long-overdue!
