    Hard to Love

     You're not an easy man to love
    Even with those eyes bluer than the skies above
    I had just begun to think we'd be fine
    Now I'm almost certain you'll never be mine.  
    I feel the harder I try the harder you try to push me away
    Yet I  won't give up on you, try as I may. 
    Waiting to hear from you my stomach ties in knots,
    Wondering how often or how little I'm in your thoughts. 
    Is the only time you think of me is when I hear from you?
    Oh the answer to this I wish I knew.  
    But as hard as you can make loving you be,
    It seems to come so naturally for me.

    Straightforward but very emotional. You expressed a lot in that poem and I can definitely identify with your sentiments. I like that you made an effort to rhyme, as I rarely see it in contemporary poetry!
