Black Tears.

It's time for the truth, no turning back.

But... All my friends and fears,

They're all quickly turning black.

Then I realized, it was my tears.

The sobs suddenly escaped my chest,

As the tears streamed down my face.

I saw in the mirror a girl who was depressed...

I knew that girl, I wanted to destroy her with angst.

I collapsed in front of my reflection;

More tears came, as I pulled my sleeve back.

It took only one more scar to relieve my depression.

So, why are the tears becoming more black?

My pain was only temporarily gone,

I tried the slashing many times before.

On that wrist so many scars were done.

The pain was back, I continued to weep.

From the public I could hide my scars,

I could hide my pain.

But the truth would be revealed through my eyes.

Maybe I should end all the lies...

Simply just fade away with my black tears,

Be gone and far away from my hurt.

I could blend in with my dark fears,

As the soul of thee stays alert.

This was the truth, without turning back,

My friends and fears...

Are no longer black.

Fore; I have no more tears.

That's really what I aspire for, I want people to connect to what I'm writing.

This is an interesting piece, I really like how you ended it. The sixth stanza is my favorite one.

Thank you very much, I appreciate it. The sixth stanza was actually re-done a few times. I just settled on that one.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
