Poem Commentary

This is based off of a girl I know that has broken the hearts of one of my best girl and guy friends.

Lies Devour Love.

Looking at your caked-on make up
And bleached blonde hair,
It makes me wonder;
What ever made him care?

You devour men and women alike,
Take them as they are
And pretend to love them despite
The others you play the game with.

You stick with what you're good at;
You know how to lie.
So why begin to quit?
When no one wants that good-bye.

Looking at your caked-on make up
And bleached blonde hair,
It makes me wonder;
Why does she still care?

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
