    My Shadow.
     The one who follows me;

    My very own shadow.

    She sees what I see;

    But she's only light left shallow.

     

    Only a shade of me,

    Just my spirit colliding with life.

    My shadow mimics me;

    She does what I do.

     

    But one day, my shadow;

    Will die with me,

    And swallow me whole.

    Then only shadow beneath me;

    –In a shallow pool of shades.

    Wow...I just joined recently and this may be the best piece I've read so far. You are certainly on your way to writing some great work if you can pen this at 14. very moving and your editing talents are obvious!
