As I go under water, the world is tamed on the surface
To their hearts, I feel allergic
My body descends to the pith of the fiberglass
    Ruminating has become impasse
I avoid a struggle coming up for air
So I lie still as my thoughts are pared
Dark as it is, I don't wanna open my eyes
I'm afraid I'll see someone on the other side
Someone who hovers over me, sharpening the metal on the blade
My paranoia devourers like a plague
At least I know I'm still human
I want be saved, without the fear of losing
I lead towards the belief that I'm wrestling waves with the sea
But here I am in my bathtub counting backwards from three

this reminds me of that feeling you get where you wake up in the middle of the night and you can't move any limbs no matter how hard you try. i once thought i was being abducted by aliens. come to find years later its a common thing for that to happen. i like my alien equaition much better. guess its the d.b.sweeney in me. goodjob on this poem. love the rhyme of blade and plague. and the use of pith and impasse. you rock!

Wow! Seriously, scary thoughts and captivating moments in time. Talent is def within you to conjour all of these words into this arrangement and the ending, that cuts and leaves us hanging. Keep writing. I want more. 10 from me..

I like the surprise ending. I am still trying to figure out the metaphor of the person hovering over you. Maybe it is Psychopath? hehe.
