Childhood
Ho ho ho,
a pirates life for me,
song keeps playing in my mind,
bringing back old memories,
time of simple imagination,
playing with the neighbors,
the treehouse becomes our ship,
everyone with eye patches,
only one can have a parrot,
sounds of laughter,
ring so true,
as echoes of the past play out,
"Arg me matey,"
"walk the plank,
I'll run you through you skallywag"
all the terms used,
such adventures we went on,
the seven seas explored,
countless shipwrecks,
only to be saved at last moment,
so many treasures that were plundered,
days gone by,
taught me many things,
yet there are moments,
when life gives you the call,
nothing else will work,
that is when you know,
its time to don the eye patch,
with a smirk on your face,
its a pirate's life for me.
a pirates life for me,
song keeps playing in my mind,
bringing back old memories,
time of simple imagination,
playing with the neighbors,
the treehouse becomes our ship,
everyone with eye patches,
only one can have a parrot,
sounds of laughter,
ring so true,
as echoes of the past play out,
"Arg me matey,"
"walk the plank,
I'll run you through you skallywag"
all the terms used,
such adventures we went on,
the seven seas explored,
countless shipwrecks,
only to be saved at last moment,
so many treasures that were plundered,

yet there are moments,
when life gives you the call,
nothing else will work,
that is when you know,
its time to don the eye patch,
with a smirk on your face,
its a pirate's life for me.
